Living away from home makes me miss home cooked meals (stews for example). And the frequency of KFC and McD dining is my unhealthy choices to overcome my hectic schedule to prepare my meal. This is how a typical Friday morning here in Jeddah looks like.
This fish market is not an ordinary market for me. Maybe because we don't usually have these kind of seafood way back home or it's because I'm allergic to shrimp and crab that makes me so unfamiliar with fish markets. But what caught my attention was those assorted, multicolored, gigantic sea creatures that usually end up in our plates. We didn't buy any of those. But instead, I enjoyed picking my sweet watermelon (fast facts: watermelon contains
antioxidants that protect the cells from damage).

Next stop: the meat market. The place is surrounded by Al Balad's old structure, a historical feeling. There is an old guy who sells vegetables and since I came here in Jeddah, he frequently give his customers some freebies (I only purchased the bok choy, potatoes and limes!)
Happy weekend everyone!
